Ian Symington Memorial~Foursomes

A much-loved event on the East Anglia calendar, this year’s Ian Symington Memorial Trophy visits Purdsis Heath home to Ipswich GC. In previous years Aldeburgh Golf Club & Brancaster have hosted this prestigious gathering. Played as a foursomes stableford over 18 holes, two teams compete: one selected by our Regional Manager, Gary Smith, and the other by our Captain. The winner is decided by the Team with highest aggregate points scored.

The Trophy was first won by Past Captain Scott, and ever since, the day has been about more than just golf—it’s about remembering and celebrating Ian. With plenty of personal stories shared, it remains a truly special event for everyone who attends.
